Barbara Bush
Not only was Barbara Bush the first First Lady to meet the Sesame Street Muppets, she was the first to interact with any Muppet character. The wife of George Bush Senior, she appeared on the classic preschool TV program in 1990 to read Peter's Chair. Bush was also included in the celebrity montage for Sing! Sesame Street Remembers Joe Raposo and His Music, a documentary produced in memory of the legendary early composer, responsible for many of the show's classics.
