Current top sellers include Michael Jackson – Dangerous: The Short Films (1993), Michael Jackson – Video Greatest Hits – HIStory (1995), Michael Jackson – History on Film, Vol. 2 (1997), Number Ones (2003), and Michael Jackson: Live in Bucharest: The Dangerous Tour (2005).
Live in Japan and This is It (2009) was released on DVD in June just before his death, followed by a rash of recent releases hoping to marry well-timed marketing savvy with outpouring of public sentiment. Fans also can prepare for the upcoming documentary This Is It, based on his rehearsals for the comeback concerts in London. July offered two new MJ tributes and retrospectives, and September provides two more. With such a large body of work, an unusual lifestyle, and a legion of loyal fans, new Jackson DVDs may continue for some time.
